At My Personal Dean, we want every student and family to understand what to expect before moving forward with our consulting services. Please review the policies below.
Inquiries & Consultation Process
To get started, submit an inquiry through our website and tell us a little about your situation.
Our team will review your inquiry and respond by email with available consultation times and next steps.
Submitting an inquiry does not create a confirmed appointment or require payment.
Once a consultation time has been agreed upon, we will provide payment instructions. Your consultation will be confirmed once payment has been received.
Payment
Payment is required to confirm a consultation.
Available payment methods and payment instructions will be provided by email once a consultation time has been agreed upon.
The applicable consultation fee will be communicated before payment is requested.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed consultation, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests based on availability.
If you do not attend your scheduled consultation and do not provide prior notice, the session may be considered completed and may not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
Refund Policy
Because our consultations reserve dedicated time with Dean Sam, consultation fees are generally non-refundable once payment has been made and the consultation has been confirmed.
If you need to cancel before your consultation, please contact us as soon as possible. Refund requests will be reviewed based on the circumstances and timing of the cancellation.
If My Personal Dean needs to cancel a confirmed consultation and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you will receive a full refund for the affected consultation.
Approved refunds will be issued through the original payment method whenever possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.
Semester Success Mentorship
Semester Success Mentorship is an ongoing consulting engagement lasting approximately one academic semester.
Because this service includes multiple scheduled consultations and reserved availability throughout the engagement, it is not treated as a series of individual appointments.
If you need to end your mentorship early, please contact us. Any refund or adjustment will be considered based on the services already provided and the remaining portion of the engagement.
Late Arrivals
Please make every effort to attend your consultation on time.
If you arrive late, the consultation may still need to end at the originally agreed-upon time. The unused portion of the consultation may not be extended or refunded.
Confidentiality
Information shared during a consultation will be treated with appropriate confidentiality.
For consultations involving both a student and parent or family member, information discussed during the joint consultation may be accessible to all participating parties.
Educational Consulting Disclaimer
My Personal Dean provides educational consulting and strategic advice. Our services do not constitute legal, medical, mental health, or other professional services outside the scope of educational consulting.
Recommendations are based on the information provided by the student or family and the circumstances discussed during the consultation.
My Personal Dean does not guarantee a specific academic, admissions, disciplinary, financial, or other outcome. Final decisions remain with the student, family, college, university, or other relevant institution.
Policy Changes
My Personal Dean may update these policies from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
